Sonaca 200

The new reference aircraft for general aviation,
providing astonishing performance & flight characteristics, at low operational cost.

Safe-to-fly

The Sonaca 200 structure and wing profile have been optimized to provide safe flight behaviour at any speed. In particular, the Sonaca 200 remains highly maneuverable and responsive when approaching stall conditions, making it the perfect two-seater aircraft for training purposes.

Low operational cost

The Sonaca 200 offers unmatched low flying cost thanks to its:

- State-of-the art Rotax engine, which has a low fuel consumption and is compatible with un-leaded fuel;

- Metallic structure, which is damage tolerant and easy to repair;

- Durability and longevity, given the massive use of proven material and technologies.

Robustness & reliability

Sonaca 200 is designed to resist severe flight conditions and hard landings. Building on 80 years of Sonaca Group experience in aero structure and manufacture, the structure of the aircraft has been designed to endure for decades (impact resistant, corrosion-free, crack resistant, etc) thanks to its metal structure.

Fun-to-fly

Sonaca 200 is powered by the latest generation Rotax turbocharged engine developing 115 hp, enabling nice rate of climb and a nice cruise speed for your navigation.  Thanks to advanced aerodynamics, the Sonaca 200 provides the perfect flying experience.

Customer support

Thanks to the commercial aviation roots of its mother company, Sonaca Group, (serving Airbus, Dassault, Embraer, Bombardier as Tier-1), Sonaca Aircraft offers world class customer support for its aircraft, including delivery of spare parts and repair solutions within days.

Testimonials

  • Major General Frederik Vansina

    "The Sonaca 200 is clearly a very clever design. The caption "made by pilots for pilots" under
    which the aircraft is marketed is sensed throughout the entire flight. Well done to Sonaca for producing such a fine aircraft".

    I chose the Sonaca 200 for the flight school because it provided me such a pleasure to fly ; this aircraft has enough power and is highly responsive to controls. It is an aircraft that I would rent on my own for the sake of flying pleasure !
